Collaboration between Halo Energy and Freedom Fuels in Australia

Halo Energy is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with Freedom, an Australian fuel retailer, to develop an electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across all Freedom service stations in Queensland, Australia. The partnership will deploy Halo's latest "Energy+" technology, integrating large-scale battery storage with DC fast chargers. This system is designed to overcome local grid constraints, optimize energy tariffs, and deliver ultra-fast charging in 15-30 minutes. The collaboration aims to deploy more than 100 charging stations across Australia within the next three years. Furthermore, Halo will partner with Euroka Energy to create a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). This initiative will maximize revenue from the charging network by intelligently buying, selling, and storing electricity at the most advantageous times and prices. Freedom Fuels is an Australian independent fuel importer, bulk supplier, and retailer, operating primarily across Queensland and New South Wales. It was founded in Brisbane in 2000 by Mathew and Andrew Morland. Freedom Fuels started with 11 retail sites and has since grown into a significant independent player in the Australian fuel market. In December 2012, the business was wholly acquired by Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd, a major Japanese oil company. The company operates in five key areas: retail service stations, terminal operations, transport, wholesale, and commercial supply. Freedom Fuels has a network of over 50+ owned and operated retail sites, which include convenience stores and Grinding Time Cafes at selected locations. They also supply bulk fuel to various commercial customers, including mining and agricultural sectors. Halo Energy is a Global Charging Service provider with headquarters in Hong Kong. Founded in 2017, the company is a technology-based company that focuses on the research and development of electric vehicle charging solutions. Halo offers a one-stop end-to-end solution from designing, building, and operating EV charging stations in an Asset-Light Model to enable different partners, including landlords, investors, carpark owners, and property management, to invest and participate in the EV charging business. while continuing its expansion across the APAC region.
